Brewbaker's Winchester, VA

I stopped by Winchester, Virginia to look at the changing leaves in the Shenandoah Valley.  When we got to the town we immediately headed to the pedestrian mall downtown, where Brew Baker's is.  The restaurant is in a really old building and we sat by a large fireplace.  We ordered for appetizers a big combo pack of chicken tenders, potato skins, and wings.  We usually don't get comp packs but this time my mom tried some chicken tenders and potato skins.  Of course I ordered chicken tenders and fries for lunch.  The tenders had different than usual batter.  The batter tasted faintly like beer because they use beer in the batter.  The fries were good didn't stand out like some others.  After the Brewpub we checked out this toy store we like to go to called Amazing Flying Objects.  We also went to a bookstore where I got a popular book named The Land Of Stories by Chris Colfer.  We will most definitely come back again.

The Church Brew Works Pittsburgh,PA

I went to Pittsburgh and I stayed for a couple nights.  We saw the Heinz Museum where we got to see a big trolley car and Western Pennsylvania sports hall of fame.  After that we went to Church Brew Works. Church Brew Works was once a church but now its a restaurant.  We ordered buffalo corn dogs.  The corn dogs were different than other corn dogs.  The batter was unique and the buffalo was savory.  I also ordered a slurpee drink that had gummy worms in it that tasted like blueberries. I had chicken tenders and fries for my main course.  The Church Brew Works is an exceptional place to eat in Pittsburgh.

BJ's Brewhouse Tyson's Corner, VA

I went to a farmer's market with my family an got some fresh meat and some rosemary bread.  While my dad was getting the meat me and my cousins and my sister played in the fountains.  After that we went to BJ's Brewhouse.  There they had some really cool stuff.  Like this big stand behind the bar full of bottles for decoration.  I got cherry soda and chicken tender and fries.  The fries were crispy and salty.  The tenders were juicy and the batter was home made, not out of the bag.

Matchbox, Merrifield, VA

Matchbox was different than most restaurants because they had pizza dough that you could play with and eat.  It came out in right away as we ordered.  I had a grilled cheese sandwich and french fries.  The grilled cheese sandwich was O.K., nothing special.  The fries were crisp and came out hot.  At Matchbox they give out matchboxes that you can keep.

Castle Bay Irish Pub Annapolis, MD

I went to Annapolis, Maryland and saw the statehouse and also lots of old buildings.  I went to this Irish pub and had a Sprite, chicken tenders, and fries.  The tenders were very juicy inside and the breading was crisp.  They were some of the best I've ever had.  I told the waiter that.  He said they make them from real chicken breast, not other parts.  The fries were O.K.  Average. 

We parked our car at the Naval Academy and went to the gift store and I got a rubber duck key chain and a bracelet.  We saw some uniforms and went to this big building where they play ice hockey. 

Philadelphia Museum Of Art

Delayed entry from Spring Break trip.

We stopped in Philadelphia coming from New York City to see the Philadelphia Art Museum.  I did not get to see all of it because my sister was bored and we did not have enough time but from what I saw it was amazing.  I saw a painting of sunflowers from Van Gogh and I also saw a lot of European Art from the 1500s.

I stopped by the food court and I got chicken tenders and potatoes.  The chicken tenders were average.  They came out of the bag, but the potatoes were definitely made from scratch and the spices were unique.  I stopped by the gift store and got a Van Gogh book and an art book and also a rubber band ball kit.

Heartland Brewing, Empire State Building

Delayed entry from Spring Break trip.

I was in New York City and we stopped by the Empire State Building to grab lunch.  Of course I got chicken tenders and fries and they were delicious.  The tenders had good batter and the fries were salted well and had a good texture.  I was excited to be in the Empire State Building and I also saw some other interesting places on m trip like the Statue of Liberty and FAO Schwarz.  I also went to Central Park and saw this big castle.  I had a really good time.  I wish I could have stayed there longer.
