BBC Tavern and Grill, Greenville, Delaware
I went to BBC Tavern and Grill after seeing Longwood Gardens at nighttime. I had chicken tenders and fries and I also had a Sprite. The tenders were hot and moist in the middle. The fries were fabulous. They were skinny and seasoned well. Longwood Gardens was very pretty and even got see the Conservatory. It was very hot in there and I saw tropical plants that I can not see here in Virginia. The lights were pretty cool because some would flash on and off like this fountain that wasn't spouting water but instead it had lights that turned on and off and it made it seam like it was flowing actual water.
Sorry we do not have a picture of my meal. It got lost somehow. We do have pictures of Longwood Garden!

Red Owl Tavern, Philadelphia, PA
I went to Philadelphia and went to this restaurant called Red Owl. I got a hot dog and potato chips. My sister had chicken tenders and fries. My potato chips seemed home made and were really good. We had root beer that was brewed in Pennsylvania. The hot dog was juicy and good. I liked how it was a little bit burnt. I really liked it because the bun was so good.
We stopped here after seeing the Liberty Bell, which is only one block away. I went to the gift shop and bought a key to the city and a mini Liberty Bell. We also saw Independence Hall. And then we drove by Betsey Ross' house.
Airport Sheraton, Wilmington, Delaware
We ate at the at our hotel's restaurant and I got burgers. The burgers were fine. They were cheesy and they had bacon and I like the little toppers. The fries were OK, they came out hot. But I think they needed a little bit more salt. My drink came in a Starbucks cup, even though it wasn't coffee. I think they did that so my sister and I could have lids with our drinks.

Vintage 50 Leesburg, VA
I went to Leesburg and tried the Vintage 50 restaurant. Vintage 50 is in on first floor of an office building across from a Real Estate Office. The large dining area was closed so we sat at the bar on tall chairs and benches. The chicken tenders were very delicious. They were little and crunchy, and seasoned very well. The fries were a little plain but with some pepper added they weren't bad. They brew their own beer there. Football was on the TV. The Redskins and Philadelphia were playing.

We went to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Cubs. Before the game started we went the Rivertowne Brewing which is in the ballpark. The tenders were good. They were seasoned well. So were the fries. And for desert they brought out monkeybread, which was sweet and messy. I had to eat it with a fork and knife.
The stadium is on a river. There was this guy and he had this hose that water shot out of and propelled him up at least ten feet above the water. He held a flag and put on a show. We also saw tour boats that would honk and wave as they passed. The people at the stadium would wave back.
The Pirates won and there were fireworks.

Vienna Inn, Vienna, VA
My dad read about this place in the Washington Post and wanted to go because he heard it was a charming dive. It has a black and white tile floor. It was dark inside. They had on old phone booth that is no longer in use. Some of the seats had rips in them. The food came in a basket with wax paper. I liked the digital juke box. They also had the original Pacman game.
The chicken tenders were good but a little plain. They weren't really seasoned. I really liked the fries. I had a lot of them. They were perfect. Just right.
We paid at the front. They don't bring you a check. Instead it is an honor system. You tell the cashier what you had. They don't keep track. They trust the customer. That is why this diner is loved by the locals. We were honest. It was a good diner!

Mount Vernon Inn, Mount Vernon, VA
We visited George Washington's house. And while there we tried to eat at the food court but it was too busy. And then we decided that we would try the restaurant at the visitors center. It is designed to look like a building built in George Washington's time.
I ordered some apple cider which I normally don't do. I ordered chicken tender with potato chips. The chips were home made. The tenders were store bought. The tenders I don't think were really good. I do think that the chips were really good. I really liked the apple cider. I liked the corn bread they served.
Then after that we went to see the house. Then we went out back and we went down the hill to where a stone fence started at a steep point. We were looking at the Potomac River down the hill.

Jean Bonnett Tavern, Bedford, PA
We drove to Pennsylvania and I stopped at a restaurant that my parents had read about in a magazine. We learned about the history of the Tavern. The Tavern is more than 250 years old and has been a restaurant the entire time. It is also an inn. We found out that is is one of the top 10 most haunted places in Pennsylvania. They showed us a binder full of pictures of supposed ghosts and orbs that were in the tavern.
The chicken tenders were good. I liked how they were juicy. They were definitely home made. They also made rootbeer there, but the thing about it was they served if cold but they didn't put any ice in it. The waitress said it would decrease the taste. I also like their fries. They were good. I think they were also home made. I tasted the mozzarella sticks, which I thought were very cheesy. I got applesausce which had some cinnamon sprinkled in with it.
They said that if we turned in our receipt at their gift shop they would give us some free goat food to feed the goats they have outside. At first I was kind of nervous to feed the goats. But then I tried it and it feels good. They just lick your hand. There were three goats and the goats were fighting over the food. One goat kept the other two from getting. He would forcefully push them away if I tried to feed the other goats. This one poor goat didn't get a lot goat fead because wherever I went the other two goats would try to steal the food. Eventually I tried to trick them into letting me feed this one brown goat.
After lunch we drove and saw some old covered bridges. They were over 100 years old. There is only room for one car at a time.

And then we saw the Nat's game. And I also got a giant slushy.

The pizza was so good. I love Lost Dog Cafe. It was very cheesey and the crust was very doughy. I also ordered root beer. This is a different Lost Dog Cafe. This one is closer to us. My mom and dad got the onion rings and they like them. The wall had a mural that took up the whole room we were in about a mall filled with dogs. So their stores had stuff that related to dogs.
